Slnee participation in the Open Source Summit 2023

Under the generous sponsorship of the Digital Entrepreneurship Center (code), the Programmers Association #barmg organized the Saudi Open-Source Summit on February 20, 2023, in its fifth edition, in partnership with Elm Company and the Center of Excellence for Information Security at King Saud University.

 


The summit included many workshops, lectures and discussion sessions, and a review of success stories of pioneer users of free open source software in public and private organizations and agencies and in Saudi universities as well. They were also honored by the association as a motivation for others interested in the field of open source. The Programmers Association awarded its annual Maysam 2023 award to organizations, entities, establishments, academies, societies, technical groups and associations, developers, and individuals who contribute to the production, innovation, and adoption of open-source products.

 

This award comes in support of the localization of technology in the Kingdom, achieving technical sovereignty, and increasing the production of local content.

 

Slnee registered its presence as an official sponsor of this conference under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Majid Al-Qabbani praised that this sponsorship is an extension of achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in digital transformation and creating a technical environment that attracts local and global investments and partnerships in the fields of technology and innovation.

 

To support programmers and developers and towards new horizons for the software industry in the Kingdom, the association, in partnership with Slnee, launched the #Code_Test_Challenge through its two platforms, Deom Keeper and Deom Lab, under the slogan #Codec_Safely, which underwent several conditions and stages to pass this experience. Following this launch, the winners of the first three places in the challenge were honored during the Summit with financial prizes of 30,000 Saudi riyals.
